The format of the event will be an informal gathering, giving you the chance to ask questions and learn more about the endangered North Atlantic right whale! Both Barb and Tom have incredible experience working as close to these magnificent creatures as is possible! The stories they can tell will keep you riveted to your seat! A North Atlantic right whale can be bigger than a school bus… can you imagine working in this boat below near something so large? Join us to hear all about it!

Why is the event called Baleen & Brew?

The North Atlantic right whale does not have “teeth”. One of the largest creatures on earth actually eats one of the smallest creatures! In their mouth, they have baleen, long plates made of keratin all lined up next to each other that work as a filter. The small copepods that make up the North Atlantic right whale’s diet get caught in their baleen and that is how they catch their food!

We can’t wait to see you there!

Stop in to Disco Witch Brewing between 4-7 on Sunday, October 20 to talk whale, have an ale, and hang out with your favorite whale fans! We hope to see you there!!
